Now known as Behavioural Sciences I but exacty the same as Medical Communication, unfortunately.
This course in split into two halves, the first 7 weeks consists of lectures that give information about communicating to different groups of people in different situations. These lectures are registered. The second 7 weeks consists of meetings with your group in a small room to discuss everything from the previous lectures.
How to pass
Don't miss more than 3 lectures or seminars
Buy or get a copy of the Medical Communication book
Pay no attention to the lectures or seminars, everything you need to pass this course is in the book
Each topic on the exam corresponds to a chapter in the book
Read the book before your exam
The exams[]
Final:
Oral exam:
Pick two cards with questions on them and answer them to the examiner
The difficulties[]
Turning up for mostly pointless lectures and even more pointless seminars
Reading the book
Conclusion
I read the book in the weekend before the exam and passed very easily, this is really a course that should be put later in the degree but now it is here to waste your time and prevent you from studying more important and relevant subjects
